the one with the new baby & CRAPSHOOT TUESDAY

T's good friend from The Woodlands came last weekend with her little guy and her very new little girl. The girls LOVED the new baby and always wanted to be touching, holding and just being next to her.

Here are some shots...Scroll down for CRAPSHOOT TUESDAY

T.G. is a little photographer. Yes, she used up the WHOLE throw away camera in about 10 minutes taking pictures of anything and everything.

This is A. We just had to get some shots for his daddy of him wearing the necklace.

The look on her face is priceless, it's worth overlooking the bad lighting.

the one where we bought a house

Joseph and I put a contract on a house earlier this week...we are really excited! The house is out by the lake with a neighborhood boat ramp and 5 minutes from the state park. We close at the end of November which means we will be in the new house by Christmas, can't wait!

Below are some pics of the house. We went for inspections on Friday so I was able to shoot a few while we were there. I have took some pics of the inside also but I decided not to post them considering the current owners still live in the house.

This is the view from the patio...

We will be spending ALL of our time out here, I can guarantee it.

the one where everything else was just getting us ready for this

I was inspired to write this today by this entry at ShutterSisters.

I have a friend like this. We have shared so many memories. We were inseparable, then we were separated. Time flew, our lives changed but no matter the distance or time, it was like nothing had changed between us. Through new life, death, breakups and marriages our "snapshot" has changed and evolved and I wouldn't trade any of it for the old "us" because everything else was just getting us ready for this. The beauty of it is that we will be able to say this 5, 10 or 50 years from now while describing our new "snapshot".

Photobucket

So while I have posted this image before, I will post it again because this is T's "snapshot" for this season of her life. And because she is so special to me, this is also a small part of my "snapshot".

the one at dinoland

Last week, T and I took her girls to the Austin Botanical Gardens. They are having an exhibit there called Dinoland. We "think" the girls had fun because they were having a great time while we were there but as we were leaving we asked K what she thought about the dinosaurs, she said "mmmm, they were ok". I think she was hoping they would be alive rather than fake.

Don't they look like real butterflies? Or maybe angels?

the one where i am hooked on...

Photobucket

I haven't watched this series from the beginning but I started watching this season. Then I realized they were re-showing the entire series from the beginning during the day. Hello! I love DVR. I can't get enough of the drama...

the one with the fall party

Joe has a cousin who attends the Naval Academy and she only comes home a few times a year. One of those times is Columbus Day and her birthday falls right around that time. So as a celebration of all these things and the fall season, we have the Fall Family Fling.

There are no winners in the pumpkin carving contest although my personal favorites are the DC star and the moon and stars (that's mine). I just don't do scary.

Next was "bobbing" for Apples. We didn't really "bob", instead the apples hung on a string, Joe's aunt gave them a good swing and the rest of the story is told in pictures...

It's always great to get together with the family! Can't wait for next year, I am already planning what I will carve on my pumpkin.

the one where i posed

Guess which one is not like the rest?????

I just wrote out the story and it was way too long to explain...just leave it to me to be the one making the face in the picture when everyone else is serious. This probably doesn't come as a surprise to some people who read this blog on a daily basis (you know who you are).

More to come from the fall party later...

the one where i went back in time

I admit it, I am probably one of the biggest blog stalkers there are. I check about 35 blogs on a regular basis and about 20 of those on a daily basis. Yes, I know, I counted. Most of them are photography blogs (not a lot of reading just looking at pics), some of them are family and friends and there a few decorating blogs. Anyway, all that to say, you never know what you are going to find on some of these blogs and while stalking last night, I found this website

I am not even kidding, my mom will think she is looking in her old yearbooks at herself. I'm pretty sure she actually had a yearbook picture with her hair cut and glasses just like this one from 1960.

It's a fun distraction and the years go all the way from 1950 to 2000. Try it out for yourself, upload it to photobucket and put the link in comments. Too Funny!

the one that i love

I love all of these! I am so happy that they turned out so good "on the fly". Some of them I couldn't decide b/w or color so I posted both. What do you think?

J, hopefully you can find one that you like enough to frame for Steve-o.

And this one is probably a close 2nd! Look at that open-mouthed smooch. Love it...
