the one with christmas pictures

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! This is the first year that we were the out of towners for the festivities. It made it a little hectic going from place to place without a home-base but of course it was really great to see everyone, especially family who we haven't visited with in a while.

Here are some pics of S&P on Christmas Eve. It warmed up enough that evening that we were able to spend some time outside at my dad's. He just finished doing a major overhaul on the yard, complete with an outdoor fire pit and a coy pond (or two). P was really enjoying the "Feeshies" and Aunt Sage showed her that she could reach in and try to catch them with her hands. It's freeing to see the world through the eyes of a 2-year-old.

Either something is sour or she is tired of me taking pictures of her...probably the latter.

Oh yeah and a BIG shout out to my little brother (seatied on the left in maroon) who was just accepted for the fall semester at the prestigious Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburg, PA.

almost there

J and I braved the Texas cold tonight and got most of our Christmas shopping done. I have never done my shopping this late before. Usually I am done before Thanksgiving.

My parents came this weekend and helped us unpack more. We had a good time and the house looks great!

I put up the 10-minute version of the Christmas Tree with minimal ornaments and a bow with bells (which would usually go on the front door) as the topper. The house needed just a touch of Christmas and this did the trick. Don't be surprised if I keep it up until February, I have missed out on a few weeks. See the unwrapped presents under the tree? How many days till Christmas? There's always Wednesday morning...

the gillenwaters

AT&T still says that the internet guy is not coming out until later today but I have had "real" internet (not stolen) since yesterday afternoon. That's some crazy stuff but I'll take it.

Here are my favs from the Gillenwater shoot. Some I am not going to post because T might use them for Christmas cards but I will post them later.

Hang Tight

As predicted, we are having internet issues. Gotta love AT&T, they are telling me that even though I set it up 3 weeks ago for the service to be switched on Friday (the day we moved), it has been delayed and we will not have internet until the 16th. Isn't that a likely scenario for someone who works from home?

So in the meantime and in order for me to be able to be somewhat productive for work tomorrow, I am stealing someone's unsecured network. SSSSHHHH don't tell, it's the only thing keeping me from jumping through the phone when I am on hold with AT&T.

Talk to you soon...

the random one

Someone is not ready to move...

Also, can you believe it? Snow in Austin! We went out to our new house in the evening and it snowed on us. We came back to our current house, it was sleeting but when we woke up the next morning, this is what we found.

I may be MIA for a couple of days. We are moving tomorrow and as always, we will probably have some hang-up with with our internet connection (we love AT&T). Look for more from the Gillenwater shoot when I return.

The Adam's

I can't believe how fast the time flew by... S is already standing on her own and P is 2! When I took their Christmas pictures last year, P had no hair and S was just a barely-there bump. Check them out here. Look at them now!!!!!!
