i'm hooked on...

Getting my office in order and looking fab!

This is the current state:

This is the one room in the house that I have completely neglected and how ironic that it should have been the first room that I worked on considering I work from home. So now because of the chaos, I have been working at the dining room table. Why am I so lazy about getting this room done. I think it's because I have high expectations for it but I don't know where to start.

This is how I would like it to look:

Or maybe something like this...

I've got a looooong way to go and I will update you if it ever gets done. But for now I'm hooked on just getting it in working order.

Oh, I am so inte the same situation!! We moved into our house 4 months ago. On the top floor, we are going to have an office. The room has a lovely view, but is completely cramped with boxes..so I am either working on the sofa, on my bed or by the dining table. I really should get going on getting it up and working (at least).

Your blog post really inspired me, so maybe I should turn this weekend into a fixing office weekend? I absolutely love the green office with white furniture. Very nice!!

Have a great weekend!

I understand having high expectations that cause you to not do anything! I like to do it all at once! Maybe pick your favorite paint color and start with that!
You might even find some things around your house that would like a new home in your office. Then you can work on you special pieces.
Love the photos!

Ahhh. Those rooms look like wonderful spaces to work in, don't they? Great post! Thanks for joining my blog party and playing along with us today. :-)

I love the green. My office is similar. And it is also on my todo list.

I love both of your inspiration photos. I've spent today cleaning some and making a master "to do" list of things that we'll need to do before we list the house. Can you believe it's 4 pages long?

Good luck on your office; I know you'll love it once you get it finished. Nothing makes work nicer than having a nice space to do it in.
