Meadowlake

These are pictures from the Adams' Easter celebration at Meadowlake. As usual, Presleigh was as cute as a button, putting on a major show for all her fans! We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day and it was the first time in long time that the whole family was together.

This one of P and J is one of my all-time favorites. It just captures how much they adore each other.

Unexpected Favorites

These are some of favorite pictures of Sydney. She was only about a month old at this time, we had come in to San Antonio for one of Joseph's basketball games and stopped by J&C's for a quick visit. Sometimes, the best ones are unexpected.

Springtime in Waterloo

Found this little "game" (if you will) while blogstalking...

1. Pick up the book nearest to you and go to page 123.
2. Find the 5th sentence.
3. Post the next three sentences after the fifth one....

Joseph and I are going to start reading this devotional together and so it was sitting right next to me on the desk. It was this or the Texas Property Tax Appraisal District Directory, an obvious choice!

So mine says,
"Because he was a widowed father traveling with his young daughters and niece, the young cleric could have claimed a seat in one of the ship's twenty lifeboats. But Harper was determined to follow the example of the One who called us to take up the cross. Harper made the decision. He kissed his girls goodbye and remained on the ship, witnessing to those who were about to perish."
So I extended mine to 4 sentences but wasn't it worth it? The Lord speaks to us in very unique ways sometimes. I have found clarity in just these 4 short sentences for something that has been heavy on my heart today.
What does yours say? Leave a comment.

Drewby

This is Drew"by" Driffill, or as I recently have liked to call him, "Money". He is quite the character.
These pictures were taken back in November for the Driffill Family Christmas Card.

Look closely at the next one...PRICELESS!

That's better...

Stay tuned for more of this little "money" man and the mommy and daddy who tag along as he charges through life.

Ladybug in the Sand

These are Presleigh's Halloween pictures. Candice and I took her to Raymond Russell Park in San Antonio and it was so hot but she was a trooper in her fleece costume. Eventually she had enough and just plopped down in the sand. That's when I got the best shots.

Presleigh and Sydney are my favorite to photograph (as you can tell from the endless pictures of them) because they are the closest to my heart. Presleigh has grown up with the camera in her face and hams it up...Sydney is learning to love it!

Sometimes I think that by being behind the camera with them that I am missing out on the best moments but then I realize that by being behind the camera, I'm capturing the best moments and creating a tangible memory for our family and hopefully for generations to follow.

Adam Family 2007

Here are my favorites from the shoot of the Adam Family in November of 2007. We went out to the River Rock Event Center in Fair Oaks, which just happened to be where Joe and I had our wedding reception.

Presleigh was just learning to walk and was way too interested in the un-naturally friendly deer and stray cat walking around. Sydney was still in Mommy's tummy but she had fun too!

Saved!

Hopefully these are not the only original photos that I can salvage from my virus-plagued laptop. More later...

Pictures from Easter

That is sunscreen all over her face because she wouldn't let anyone rub it in.

iMac

Oh the JOY! of having a husband who loves and appreciates great technology!

Feast your eyes on my new BFF; the Apple iMac. For Now, I am a little lost without Photoshop but we are working on getting the Mac version very soon.

I worked on a Mac in college but it is definitely an adjustment so I will be busy for the next couple of days learning all the quirks.

Texas Trash & Treasures

On Saturday, I met my mom in Warrenton for our annual (sometimes semi-annual) antique/craft shopping trip but a visit with my Aunt Linda and Uncle Richard is always the cherry on top.

Linda and Richard own the greatest traveling shop called Texas Trash and Treasures. They call Tennessee home but they travel all over the country selling their home-made and home-designed decorative items for home and garden. They will be at the Chappell Hill Bluebonnet Festival next weekend if you want to go check out there stuff.

My mom and Linda at the Texas Trash and Treasures booth.

I hadn't seen them since the wedding so it was great to catch up. Their booth was bumping most of the time so between short visits, mom and I did some shopping and I shot pictures of the creative stuff they sell.
